What WE DO

TLC works to sustain movements through material & organizational support. We do this with a priority towards BIPOC, queer and working class growers, land stewards, and neighbors. We use our broad collective skillset to fill gaps in movement infrastructure and to support sustainable community organizing. TLC currently works in collaboration with multiple community garden and food distribution projects, as well as home gardeners towards building food resiliency in South Minneapolis.

Material Resources

Materials are required to make movement possible, whether it’s the day-to-day work or the needs that arise around larger actions and mobilizations. We know that the Twin Cities are very rich in resources. As a collective, we work to redirect these resources into the movement. Whether it’s food, building materials, vehicles, etc., TLC is building a means of responding to meet these needs in the spirit of solidarity and mutual aid. Financial Support

Realistically, while we’re stuck in capitalism, projects often need money. But all too often, that comes with strings attached or limitations that leave large barriers to success for people who are busy getting the work done. TLC is focused on having financial infrastructure, fundraising capacity, and, most importantly, trusting relationships. We strive to ensure that access to economic resources is not a hindrance to movement. You can donate to our work here.

Community Convening

Too often, we have felt that the amazing mutual aid organizing occurring around the Twin Cities exists in silos and we rarely have time and capacity to celebrate with and learn from one another. TLC has hosted seasonal gatherings to encourage sharing and cross-collaboration between groups, as well as a more comprehensive understanding of what gaps still exist in our collective work towards liberation. Wondering when the next convening is? Email tclogistics@riseup.net for an invite.

Political education

TLC has facilitated mutual aid conversations in community and given presentations to groups looking to learn more about mutual aid. If you are interested in collaborating on something like this, email us at tclogistics@riseup.net.

TLC is coordinating its inaugural reading group beginning winter 2022! We will bring together mutual aid organizers from across the Twin Cities to read and discuss deeper questions about mutual aid and building dual power. Check out our discussion group and reading list here.

Showing Up

As a collective of community members and organizers who come from a variety of movement and trades backgrounds, we can show up to build, help with graph design, clean, haul, facilitate, garden, and share movement building tools. Have a particular request? Email us at tclogistics@riseup.net.
